Features: This book is written with full consideration for the characteristics of candidates and the laws of review. The writing approach is as follows:
1. The overall content structure of each chapter in this book can be divided into five parts: the outline of each chapter, the logical structure of each chapter, the key points and numbering of each chapter, and the detailed explanation of each key point. During the writing process, we emphasize a clear and complete explanation of basic theories and knowledge points, and we list past exam questions after the corresponding chapters and key points. This allows candidates to comprehensively master the knowledge points while becoming familiar with the key points and patterns of questions in each chapter when using this book for review.
2. The main body of the book is arranged in a format that combines the explanation of key points with annotations. To help candidates maintain a clear line of thought while studying, we have compiled subdirectories for all concepts and principles contained in each chapter, listing them at the beginning of each chapter and annotating them in the detailed explanation of key points. We suggest that candidates always keep two aspects clear when using this book: first, a clear grasp of the internal logical connections between the principles and concepts of each chapter from a macro perspective; second, a clear mastery of each knowledge point from a micro perspective.
3. According to the requirements of the new syllabus, we have organized all the key points into 446 key points to facilitate students in grasping their review progress. If candidates can complete the review of ten key points each day, they will be able to review all key points in about one and a half months.
4. To make this book more convenient for candidates to use, we have added seven appendices at the end of the book:
- The first appendix is the speech delivered by Premier Wen Jiabao at the closing ceremony of the Special Research Class for Senior Leaders at the Provincial and Ministerial Level. Applicable subjects: Philosophy, Political Economy, Deng Theory, World Economy.
- The second appendix is the government work report delivered by Premier Wen Jiabao at the second session of the 10th National People's Congress. Applicable subjects: Philosophy, Political Economy, Deng Theory, World Economy.
- The third appendix is the speech delivered by President Hu Jintao at the Central Population, Resources, and Environmental Work Symposium. Applicable subjects: Philosophy, Political Economy, Deng Theory, World Economy.
- The fourth appendix is the speech delivered by President Hu Jintao at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Annual Meeting of the Boao Asia Forum. Applicable subjects: Philosophy, Political Economy, Deng Theory, World Economy.
- The fifth appendix is a chronicle of major events since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Several plenary sessions held by our Party have played a significant role in China's economic development and social progress, making them a focus of exam questions. Applicable subjects: Deng Theory.
- The sixth appendix is the fundamental propositions in the history of philosophy. It mainly includes three parts: the fundamental propositions in the history of Chinese philosophy, the fundamental propositions in the history of Western philosophy, and the fundamental propositions in the history of Marxist philosophy. This is intended to enhance candidates' familiarity and grasp of philosophical propositions in philosophy exams. Applicable subjects: Philosophy.
- The seventh appendix is a table of changes in the main leaders of the Communist Party of China. The study of Mao Zedong Thought should primarily follow the development of the Party's history, and a fundamental basis for understanding this development is to learn about the main leaders of our Party in different periods and their ideas and decisions. Applicable subjects: Mao Zedong Thought.
I believe that if candidates can clearly grasp the logical structure of each course in this book and flexibly master more than 400 key points, they will definitely lay a solid foundation for the political theory section of the postgraduate entrance exam. All the questions included in this book are from the postgraduate entrance exam. To help you consolidate your knowledge, I have also edited the sister volume to this book: 《2005》. You can do some practice questions alongside this book to reinforce your learning.
