Features: Approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Military Commission, the Deng Xiaoping Military Collection was compiled by the Central Party and the Military Academy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and published on the centenary of Deng Xiaoping's birth. The collection includes 232 documents on military matters written by Deng Xiaoping from April 1931 to September 1990, totaling over 800,000 words. The collection is divided into three volumes. Volume I contains 47 documents from April 1931 to December 1944, Volume II contains 85 documents from September 1945 to November 1974, and Volume III contains 100 documents from January 1975 to September 1990. Some of the documents included in the collection have been published in Selected Works of Deng Xiaoping, while the majority are publicly released for the first time. Necessary proofreading, verification, and punctuation have been applied to newly published manuscripts, original copies, and internal documents. Speech and conversation transcripts have been edited for clarity. For the convenience of readers and researchers, necessary annotations on historical backgrounds, battles, major events, documents, figures, and place names are provided at the end of each document. Volumes I and II also include the Table of Rhyme References for Dates and the Table of Earthly Branches for Months and Hours.
