Features: Approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Military Commission, the Deng Xiaoping Military Collection was edited by the Research Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Academy of Military Sciences of the People's Liberation Army of China and published on the centenary of Deng Xiaoping's birth. The collection includes 232 documents on military topics written by Deng Xiaoping from April 1931 to September 1990, totaling over 800,000 words. The collection is divided into three volumes. Volume I includes 47 documents from April 1931 to December 1944, Volume II includes 85 documents from September 1945 to November 1974, and Volume III includes 100 documents from January 1975 to September 1990. Some of the documents included in the collection have been published in Selected Works of Deng Xiaoping, while the majority are publicly released for the first time. Necessary corrections, verifications, and punctuation have been made to newly published manuscripts, original drafts, and internal documents. Speeches and recorded conversations have been edited for clarity. For the convenience of readers and researchers, necessary annotations on historical backgrounds, battles, major events, documents, figures, and place names are provided at the end of each document. Volumes I and II also include the Table of Rhyme Heads as Day Designations and the Table of Earthly Branches as Month and Time Designations.
