In the vast blue sea, there is a coral fairy island where many beautiful fairies live. The most beautiful is the Sea Snail Maiden. By the seaside, there lives a hardworking young man who goes fishing every day. One day, he caught nothing but a golden sea snail. The young man took the sea snail home and placed it in a water tank. The next day, when the young man returned home, he found hot meals already prepared on the table and the stove still warm. He wondered who had done such a kind deed. The third day was the same. So, the young man pretended to go fishing and hid nearby to observe what was happening at home. By dinner time, he saw smoke rising from the chimney of his own house. He quickly rushed inside and found a beautiful girl cooking. It turned out she was the sea snail from the water tank. The Sea Snail Maiden was a fairy from the blue sea. She saw the young man fishing and singing every day on the coral island and fell deeply in love with him. She intentionally let him catch her. From then on, they became close friends and worked and lived together. Three years later, the Sea Goddess finally found her daughter's whereabouts. She opposed her daughter's relationship with the fishing young man and demanded that the Sea Snail Maiden return to the fairy island before dawn, or else the human world would be flooded. After losing the Sea Snail Maiden, the young man, regardless of his life, braved the fierce winds and waves, three times entering the fairy island to reason with the Sea Goddess. The Sea Goddess was moved by the young man's loyalty and bravery and finally agreed to let her daughter live with him forever.
