Features: For every candidate, there are two essential things to do: one is to take the college entrance examination and strive for a good score; the other is to fill out suitable majors. The score of the college entrance examination is undoubtedly important because it is the foundation for admission. However, strictly speaking, an ideal exam performance does not guarantee entry into a desired university and major. This ideal encompasses two aspects: first, the university and major have a high standard, and it should be noted that a good institution does not necessarily mean all its majors are good; second, the candidate's own aspirations and interests. If both aspects align with the candidate's wishes, the ideal is naturally more perfect. However, in past college entrance examinations, far too many candidates missed opportunities due to a lack of understanding of universities and a proper positioning of their intended fields of study.
This book comprehensively evaluates the overall and classified rankings of 600 universities in China using multiple indicators. It is the first to publish the lists and rankings of research universities, teaching-research universities, teaching universities, and professional universities. It is also the first to reveal the catalog and institutional rankings of 115 undergraduate liberal arts majors and 140 undergraduate science majors. Additionally, it provides the national positions and analysis of 600 universities in liberal arts and science undergraduate programs. The book introduces techniques for achieving admission to better universities and majors with lower scores, analyzes the admission scores of universities across various regions for liberal arts and science in 2001, and conducts relevant data analysis on restructured universities and majors.
All of these offer candidates quantitative and specific guidance in determining their future orientation and provide a valuable tool for filling out their college applications.
