Features: For every candidate, there are two essential things to do: one is to take the college entrance examination and strive for a good score; the other is to fill out the appropriate majors and universities. The score of the college entrance examination is undoubtedly important because it is the foundation for a candidate's admission. However, strictly speaking, a perfect exam score does not guarantee admission to a dream university and major. This "dream" encompasses two meanings: first, the university and major should have a high level of quality, and it must be pointed out that a good university does not necessarily mean all its majors are excellent; second, the candidate's own aspirations and interests. If both can align with the candidate's wishes, the "dream" will be more perfect. However, in past college entrance examinations, far too many candidates have missed opportunities due to a lack of understanding of universities and a reasonable positioning of their intended fields of study.
This book comprehensively scans the overall rankings and classified rankings of 600 universities across the country using multiple indicators. It is the first to publish lists and rankings of research-oriented universities, teaching-research-oriented universities, teaching-oriented universities, and specialized universities; it is the first to reveal the catalogs and institutional rankings of 115 undergraduate liberal arts majors and 140 undergraduate science majors; it is the first to disclose the national positioning and analytical data of 600 universities in terms of liberal arts and science undergraduate and junior college programs; it introduces the techniques for achieving better university and major admission with relatively lower scores; it analyzes the admission scores of liberal arts and science majors from universities nationwide in 2001; and it conducts relevant data analysis for restructured universities and majors.
All these provide candidates with quantitative and specific guidance to determine their future positioning. It serves as a valuable tool to introduce candidates to the process of filling out their college applications effectively.
