Features: The current intellectual property system in China has been in operation for 20 years, promoting technological innovation, cultural development, and market prosperity. However, an in-depth examination reveals that the intellectual property system in China still faces some prominent issues in practice: the institutional orientation of the complete marketization of intellectual property law has led to incremental innovation (focusing on short-term interests) almost replacing fundamental innovation as the primary pursuit of China's innovators; a lack of coordinated systematic allocation in the improvement of legal, economic, and management systems related to intellectual property; and the ineffective absorption of advanced theories, methods, and techniques in government intervention and corporate intellectual property strategies. All of these factors have negatively impacted the operational performance of the intellectual property system. The intellectual property system is not merely a legal system but also a policy tool with clear utilitarian objectives. Stability of the system ensures that benefits can be realized, while operability of the system allows benefits to be measured. This book takes the relationship between institutions and performance as its main thread, gradually expanding the research into three levels: static institutional analysis, dynamic operational analysis, and performance empirical analysis. By comprehensively applying theories from law, economics, and management, and combining model analysis with empirical evidence supported by a large amount of data, it thoroughly examines the theory and practice of the coordinated operation of the intellectual property system. Starting from the research methods of law and economics, this book conducts research on the intellectual property system through static institutional analysis and dynamic operational analysis, and conducts an empirical analysis of the operational performance of the intellectual property system. It is a significant work on the study of the intellectual property system.
