Features: The translators of this book are two 16-year-old senior high school girls from Shanghai. They stood out among over 100 peers who participated in the translation test, which was advertised in the Student Newspaper at the end of last year. Currently, there are many books on youth literary creation, but this is the first book of its kind. Several countries, including Russia, have purchased the copyright of the original work (published in the United States in 2002). In the book, this 16-year-old girl creates a sacred mindset for herself through colors, feng shui, and aromas; she seeks the key to unlocking her heart through reading, dream interpretation, diaries, and various self-assessment tests; she objectively examines herself and appropriately cultivates her interests; she objectively observes the world and explores the art of interpersonal communication and self-cultivation. She handles all of this with a philosophy of "going with the flow," thereby gaining a positive and healthy psychology, allowing her to face herself and the people and things around her with ease, and frequently discovering what she truly wants and what she is capable of. This book was written by Sarah Stilman, a 16-year-old girl from the United States, based on many of the challenges she faced during her growth. It is a book with fresh ideas that is both highly readable and practical. You can share her perspectives and methods, or you can write about the secrets in your heart. It also provides many specific tests for your reference. Her motivation for writing this book was to "discover herself": "Today's girls feel immense pressure and burden. They are entering a dangerous, sexy culture saturated with media influence. They face the pressure of becoming beautiful and sophisticated. It means that entering junior high means makeup and becoming sexy. As they navigate a more dangerous world, they receive less protection." She says, "As a sixteen-year-old girl, I can sense the fear of violence, drugs, and growing up." She learned from the news that 61% of girls have dieted in the past year, but only 11% of them are overweight; 25% of girls suffer from various forms of depression; in some cities, up to 40% of girls have considered suicide. She once wandered the library looking for answers to these specific phenomena but found none. When she typed keywords like "girls' emotional problems" into the internet, she was instead given a series of adult website addresses! Thus, she felt that if someone needed to write such a book, it could very well be her! She has thoughts but does not flaunt knowledge. She treats people, things, and herself (everything in the book) with a philosophy of "going with the flow," allowing readers to subconsciously gain a positive and healthy psychology, face themselves and the people and things around them more easily, and frequently discover what they want at this moment and what they are capable of. Another special feature of this book is the theme journal designed by the girl herself, with blank spaces left after each theme for you to freely express yourself. For example, she asks you to write down 50 words that describe yourself. At first, it may seem easy— (cheerful), (easily angered), (calm), etc. After writing 20, you might run out of ideas, but she tells you that the further you go, the more deeply you will discover aspects of yourself that you were even unaware of—such as being (sly) or (anxious). This helps you gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
