Features: At the age of 16, Deng Xiaoping, a preparatory student for studying in France, left the land of abundance, Sichuan, and journeyed from Chongqing to Shanghai, and then to France. Deng Xiaoping spent his peaceful middle school life at Baye Middle School, but after leaving the school, he never entered the gates of any French school again. From late October 1920 to March 1921, within just five months, Deng Xiaoping completed his student life in France. After that, he worked odd jobs in France and was even called the "Doctor of Offset Printing." The inspiration and training Deng Xiaoping gained from the real society in France were clearly far more substantial than what he received in school. In his own labor life, under the influence of the workers' movement in France, Deng Xiaoping's thoughts began to change, and his aspirations also began to take root. It is hard to imagine what China would be like today if Deng Xiaoping had not saved the situation. Deng Xiaoping said he wanted to live until 1997 because he wanted to visit Hong Kong personally after its return to China. Unfortunately, he passed away on February 19, 1997, leaving behind a sense of regret. This season marks the 100th anniversary of his birth, and the people cannot help but miss him.
