Features: Reading is an extremely important part of English learning. The National Ministry of Education's "English Curriculum Standards" places great emphasis on students' reading training, providing detailed goal descriptions for the nine levels of reading skills and setting clear requirements for extracurricular reading volume for levels 3 to 8. To better implement the curriculum standards and meet the reading needs of primary and secondary school students, we have revised the original "Oxford English Story Park" series. The new "Oxford English Story Park Reading Series" is designed for primary and secondary school students, focusing on their cognitive characteristics, and aims to achieve the following goals:
1. To stimulate students' interest in learning. This English reading series consists of sixteen books, each containing two to four stories. Arranged according to the psychological characteristics of students at different age levels, 1A to 3B are primarily dialogue-based, while 4A to 8B are primarily narrative-based. The selected stories are lively and interesting, closely related to students' daily lives. The plot-driven and life-oriented content, combined with exquisite illustrations and real photographs, fully stimulates students' interest in learning, cultivates a positive learning attitude, and allows them to deeply experience the joy of learning English.
2. To improve students' reading skills. The themes, genres, and content of this English reading series are diverse, with a high volume of English information, integrating knowledge, fun, science, and a sense of the times. To effectively help students improve their reading skills, each story includes exercises and tests on the content of the passage, as well as annotations on vocabulary and sentence patterns used in the story. Through reading, students can analyze and understand the language material, capture and process information in the text, and develop their English thinking, association, judgment, and inference skills.
3. To enhance students' cultural literacy. While helping students acquire English knowledge, this reading series maximally broadens their cultural horizons, allowing them to naturally absorb rich cultural influences. To some extent, it deepens their understanding of foreign customs and culture, gradually fostering cross-cultural awareness, which is crucial for their future English learning. Each book in this series is self-contained, with difficulty progressing gradually from one book to the next. It can be used alongside "Oxford Primary English" or as supplementary reading for extracurricular or classroom learning.
The "Oxford English Story Park Reading Series" is a set of children's English reading materials. The entire series consists of sixteen books, each containing two to four stories. The selected stories are lively and interesting, closely related to daily life. The overall design is visually appealing, with vivid and intuitive illustrations. From 1A to 3B, the stories are primarily dialogue-based, while from 4A to 8B, they are primarily narrative-based. To assist readers, each story includes "Vocabulary and Phrases" and "Sentence Pattern Notes." Additionally, each book has an "Answer Key" at the end for easy reference. The entire series is thoughtfully organized, rich in content, colorful, and beautifully written.
