Features: This book is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the operations of the hotel front office and housekeeping department, primarily describing the basic operations of the front office and housekeeping, including four chapters. Chapter 1 discusses environmental management, which falls more within the scope of product management, providing the front office and housekeeping with both the hardware and necessary soft environments of the product. Chapter 2 and Chapter 3, on the front office service process and housekeeping service process respectively, are combinations of software services provided to guests based on the hardware environment, essentially the design of the front office and housekeeping service process, which is carried out in an orderly manner according to the characteristics of the front office and housekeeping. Among the services provided by the hotel front office and housekeeping department to guests, financial processing holds a particularly important position in achieving the hotel's profitability goals and also has the dual nature of guest service and internal control. Therefore, it is discussed as a separate chapter, Chapter 4, in this book. The second part of the book, Hotel Front Office and Housekeeping Management, primarily discusses several special management issues faced in the daily operations of the hotel front office and housekeeping. These issues permeate all aspects of the department's daily operations, from small to large, and provide specific rules and management standards for the hotel's daily business operations. We have extracted these major issues and independently structured them into the content of Chapters 5 to 8 of this book.
