Features: The English vocabulary is rich, and the language variations are numerous, posing a challenge for middle school students learning English. However, despite the diversity of these changes, most follow certain patterns, and helping students discover these patterns is the purpose of compiling this dictionary. This dictionary includes not only the inflectional forms of each word but also new meanings that arise from its collocations with other words, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of usage by searching for one word. To this end, we have established "Usage" and "Extended Meaning" sections. Additionally, to highlight the flexibility of words, we have created "Synonyms" and "Antonyms" sections, demonstrating the versatility of words from two perspectives to enhance vocabulary expansion and achieve the effect of learning by analogy. After each entry, we have also included a "Proverbs" section, as proverbs are words that students enjoy reading and include many idioms and set phrases. This dictionary contains over 5,000 English words, covering most of the vocabulary in current junior high school English curricula and a significant portion of high school English curricula, making it widely suitable for both junior and senior high school students learning English. The compilers of this dictionary are mostly full-time professors, lecturers, graduate students, and middle school teachers engaged in English teaching. They have a deep understanding of what middle school students learn, know, and seek, which has laid a solid foundation for the dictionary's practical and targeted content.
