Features: Art design is the way designers express their thoughts and concepts through the language of design, using graphics. Today, the diversity and density of media have profoundly changed the way the public receives information. In the fast-paced life, people increasingly value new sensations and rely on visual input. The ever-evolving trends in art design force designers to continuously strive to serve society, and comprehensive cultural literacy and foresight are qualities that designers must possess. In today's information-based, diversified high-tech era, art design has become an important part of human civilization's development, and China's art design education is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. With the advancement of the times, the cultural essence of traditional handicrafts inherited over thousands of years has become a precious wealth of Chinese traditional culture. It not only needs further protection and promotion but also needs to keep pace with the times. The teaching philosophy of art design in advanced countries of the world is continuously utilized in academic exchanges at universities, accelerating China's science and education system's alignment with that of advanced countries and promoting the emergence of many new disciplines in art design. At the same time, the basic training in art design has broken away from the monotonous model, applying new basic teaching methods such as design sketching and design coloring directly to modern art design courses tailored to the characteristics of each major. In terms of material application, craftsmanship training, creative thinking, and production and expression, a broader and more rational educational curriculum structure is becoming increasingly perfect. In summary, the new curriculum has greatly strengthened the interactive links between basic training and professional design, empowering modern higher art design education. This series of books collects teaching papers and professional design works of elite teachers in the art design discipline of contemporary Chinese higher art colleges, reflecting, from one perspective, the overall teaching status of art design colleges in China today. For years, the questions of how teachers should teach and what they should teach have been hot topics in art design education at art colleges. With the vigorous development of contemporary art and the gradual deepening of art design teaching reform, this issue has become even more prominent. We believe this series will facilitate academic exchanges among universities, allowing for mutual learning and joint exploration. We hope that students currently enrolled in schools can more directly understand and grasp the teaching orientation of art design majors in higher art colleges across the country, appreciating the personalized teaching styles of renowned teachers at each institution. At the same time, we hope that professional art design practitioners can gain inspiration from this series, continuously improving the overall level of art design education in China's higher art colleges within the framework of the overall goals and principles of art education. This is also the main purpose of compiling this book and the common aspiration of all.
