Features: The Great Fist (Dachengquan) is a modern Chinese martial arts system established by Master Wang Xiangzhai in the 1940s, who integrated the strengths of various traditional Chinese martial arts schools. It has since evolved into a scientifically advanced system renowned both domestically and internationally, characterized by remarkable health benefits and strong practical combat application. The book primarily features unpublished manuscripts by Master Wang Xiangzhai and his disciples, as well as martial arts literature collected, organized, and preserved over the years by He Zhenwei. Many of the writings contain profound philosophical insights and meticulous descriptions of techniques, making them classics. Notably, the authentic handwritten manuscript of Wang Xiangzhai’s seminal work, "The Great Fist Treatise" (Dachengquan Lun), written in 1944, is published here for the first time. This serves as a definitive reference for distinguishing and correcting inaccuracies in earlier published versions based on handwritten copies, holding great significance! The book also includes Wang Xiangzhai’s posthumous works such as "The Path of the Fist Manual" (Quan Jing Shu Jing), "On the Three Forms of Great Fist Zhan" (Lun Dachengquan San Shi Zhan), "Recordings of Master Wang Xiangzhai’s Teachings" by his disciple, Li Yongzong’s "Six Taboos of Great Fist Duan Shou," Yang Demao’s "Key Points of Great Fist Pushing," and Wang Xuanjie’s "Upward and Middle-Position Pressing and Lifting Techniques in Great Fist." Additionally, it features writings by Wang Xiangzhai’s daughter, Wang Yufang, his disciple Li Jianyu, Mi Jingke, and the martial arts texts of three generations of his disciples. He Zhenwei’s works, such as "The Essence of 100 Great Fist Principles" (Dachengquan Bai Jue Jing Cui) and "Analysis and Interpretation of Great Fist Principles and Terminology" (Dachengquan Fa Li Xi Qi Ji Ci Hui), are also published here for the first time. The book also includes rare photographs and training method images of Master Wang Xiangzhai and his disciples. These include the posthumous portrait of Wang Xiangzhai’s disciple Hong Lianshun, a group photo of Yao Zongxun with five disciples including Wang Xuanjie, and many other valuable photographs related to the development of Great Fist, such as the Tai Temple Pavilion and the Earth Pavilion, all published here for the first time. The book deeply explores, reveals, summarizes, and perfects the scientific essence of the theoretical system and the core principles of the practice system of Wang Xiangzhai’s martial arts. It also rescues and publishes important martial arts literature that had been lost for many years, ensuring its preservation for future generations. This marks a significant milestone in advancing Wang Xiangzhai’s martial arts system into a new historical era, holding both practical and profound historical significance. The publication of this book reflects the dedication of He Zhenwei over half his life and has been recognized, supported, and praised by Master Wang Xiangzhai, his living disciples, and fellow martial arts practitioners. The book is rich in content, possessing high value in martial arts, academia, history, practical application, and collectibility.
