Features: This book provides a systematic introduction to computer network security technology. Its major feature is the organic integration of three aspects: security theory, security tools, and security programming. All three aspects are derived from classroom practices: security theory comes from university-level lectures on network security, security tools are based on classroom cases from the Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) international certification, and security programming is from classroom cases in C++/VC++ programming (with a focus on network security). It features more than 40 classic network security tools and over 30 complete source codes, emphasizing practicality, operability, and coherence. The book is divided into four parts based on the network security system.
Part 1: Fundamentals of Computer Network Security
This section introduces the basic concepts of network security, experimental environment configuration, fundamental network protocols, and the basics of network security programming.
Part 2: Network Security Attack Techniques
This section provides a detailed explanation of the "five-step" attack technique—hiding IP addresses, footprint scanning, gaining system or administrator privileges, planting backdoors, and remaining invisible in the network.
Part 3: Network Security Defense Techniques
This section covers the full configuration of the Windows operating system, the application of encryption and decryption techniques, firewall technology, and intrusion detection technology.
Part 4: Comprehensive Solutions for Network Security
This section introduces the writing of network security engineering solutions from an engineering perspective.
The book provides a syllabus, a full set of course slides, demonstration animations of attack-defense cases, and source codes, which can be downloaded from http://press.bjtu.edu.cn or http://www.gettop.net.
