Features: As one of the hot majors for enrollment in recent years, the animation major has increasingly demonstrated its importance in promoting the development of China's original animation industry. As a new major, there is still a lack of relevant exemplary textbooks in the market. To meet this market demand, Shanghai Animation Film Studio and Shanghai Animation Film Specialized School organized outstanding animation experts, famous directors, and experienced teachers. From the domestically produced animated films made over the years, they selected more outstanding examples of animation design and dynamic modeling, organized, drew, and wrote them. After nearly a year of effort, the "Chinese Animation Examples" (Volumes 1-4) were finally launched for everyone to see.
In the process of animation creation, keyframe design is a very important part. This book collects many excellent animation examples from domestically produced animated films that have won numerous awards both domestically and internationally. For example:
- "Sun Wukong's Clever Battle with the Giant Spirit God" and "The Earth God of the Peach Garden Climbing the Staff" from Havoc in Heaven
- "Nezha's Self-Sacrifice" and "Li Jing Playing the Guqin" from Nezha Rebels the Sea
- "Sun Wukong Anger-Strikes the White Bone Demon" from Sun Wukong Subdues the Demon
- "Three Monks" from Three Monks
- "The Clamps Saving the Deer" with "The Clamps Playing the Flute and Moving Lightly"
- "Yu Rong Riding Her Flock Through the Snowstorm" from The Heroic Sisters of the Grassland
- "Little Chen Xiang Dancing with Cranes" from The Magic Lantern
- "The" with "TheBrothers Performing a Continuous Backward Roll"
- "The Shepherd Boy Playing the Flute" from The Shepherd's Flute
And more than 30 types of walking and running actions of different characters in various emotions, as well as some action examples from co-produced animated films, totaling over 100 sets, covering more than 40 animated films.
This book is very rich in content and has a high content of animation techniques, covering a wide range. It includes:
- Regular actions of characters and animals
- Performance actions designed according to the plot
- Emotional speaking actions
- Delicate and beautiful dance actions
- Dynamic and exaggerated actions
- Anthropomorphic actions of animals and objects, as well as modeling turnover and expression dynamic examples, etc.
The greatest feature of this book is to freeze-frame the continuous actions that pass by in an instant on the screen into static images, allowing readers to study them frame by frame while understanding the setting of key dynamics, the connection of action processes, the mastery of speed, and the use of frame counts in the creative techniques.
With the popularization of digital animation production, this book provides the most intuitive reference and guidance for animators working in two-dimensional, three-dimensional, online, gaming, and other production fields. At the same time, it also provides models for animation education and research.
"Chinese Animation Examples" fully reflects the creative essence of the predecessors of animation and fully demonstrates the profound foundation of animation creation. At the same time, it will have a far-reaching significance for the development of China's animation industry and the promotion of excellent national culture.
During the writing process of this book, we received strong support from units such as the Animation College of Beijing Film Academy, the Radio and Television Management Cadre College, Bond Animation College, the Animation College of Beijing Broadcasting University, and the Animation Department of Beijing Science and Education Film Studio. We express our sincere gratitude here.
We sincerely hope that this series of books can bring readers a broad learning space and that our efforts can contribute to the construction of the animation industry workforce in China. We look forward to your feedback on our efforts.
