Features: "Introduction to Russian" is an introductory textbook for readers self-studying Russian and middle school students currently learning Russian. It can also be used as a self-study textbook for science and technology workers from various fields to read Russian publications and master basic language knowledge. Additionally, it can serve as a foundational course for public Russian language classes in colleges and universities across different disciplines. This book adopts the audio materials from the 1982 Russian edition. During the writing process, based on the characteristics of adult Russian learners in China, we strive to make the content both accessible and profound, highlighting key and challenging points. At the same time, we pay close attention to the repetition of active vocabulary, common sentence patterns, and grammatical phenomena in the introductory stage and self-study process, gradually deepening the content to adhere to the principles of practicality and reinforcement in textbook design. The book is divided into two volumes, with a total of approximately 1,200 words. The first volume includes 15 introductory lessons on phonetics and 20 basic lessons, while the second volume contains 20 basic lessons. The translations of the texts and dialogues, as well as the answers to exercises, are printed separately as a standalone supplement for readers' self-study and reference.
