Particle · Space · Cell · Brain

Author: Tang Xiaowei
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2004-05-01
Features: In particle research, the author has conducted non-accelerator particle physics experiments and participated in international collaborations led by Professor Ding Zhizhong, including the Mark-Jee experiment and the L3 experiment. The Mark-Jee group experimentally discovered the fundamental particle that transmits strong interaction—the gluon, while the L3 group experimentally confirmed the existence of three generations of neutrinos in nature. In space research, the author has conducted satellite space radiation measurements for China and later participated in the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) international collaboration experiment to explore space antimatter and dark matter. In cell research, the author has conducted experiments on cell movement and cell division, summarizing the laws of motion within living cells and proposing the concept of molecular fluctuations within living cells. In brain research, the author has conducted experiments on working memory and brain functional imaging, summarizing the laws of brain region activation and interaction, and proposing the concept of quantized information processing in the brain. In experimental technology, the author has studied various nuclear detectors. This book is compiled from a representative selection of scientific papers related to the above five aspects, published by the author and his colleagues in domestic and international academic journals. Readers can learn about the author's experimental explorations in particle, space, cell, brain, and technology, as well as gain some scientific knowledge in these fields.
