Features: In recent years, the continuous increase in new drugs, the rapid development of information technology and computer-aided design (CAD), as well as the standardization of multicenter clinical trials, have greatly promoted the in-depth study of this research, such as pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics (PK-PD models), population pharmacokinetics, and drug interaction dynamics; the design and statistics of new drug clinical trials have also been widely valued. Additionally, the emergence of modern instruments and detection methods has provided a basis for quantitative research, while the widespread use of computers and the availability of various programs have also made quantitative research possible. All of these have significant guiding significance for new drug development and clinical practice. The generalization, summarization, and theoreticalization of the above research content are referred to as "mathematical pharmacology" (or quantitative pharmacology) in China. A large number of such training courses and workshops are held annually, reflecting the social demand. As an independent discipline, mathematical pharmacology has a history of over twenty years in China.
