Features: This book is a mathematical preparation material compiled based on the "Guidance for the Entrance Examination for Master's Degree Professional Degree Candidates (2004 Edition)." It is designed to facilitate candidates' preparation. According to the current review and preparation methods, the process is generally divided into three stages: the comprehensive review stage, the summarization stage, and the sprint stage. The supplementary materials used in each stage are also different.
In the comprehensive review stage, materials that cover the knowledge outlined in the exam syllabus are typically selected (our self-published "Mathematics Preliminary Examination Tutoring Course for Master's Degree Professional Degree Candidates" is prepared for this purpose). The main task in this stage is to clarify and understand the key knowledge points and eliminate knowledge blind spots.
In the summarization stage, it is a condensation and enhancement of the knowledge reviewed in the previous stage to help candidates grasp the overall review content and highlight key and difficult points. Due to differences in individual knowledge backgrounds and review effectiveness, the degree of condensation and enhancement may vary. Therefore, the materials available in this stage are relatively limited. Sometimes, teaching staff may conduct lectures to assist candidates in summarizing and reviewing.
In the sprint stage, most candidates adopt the method of doing mock exams. Through mock exams, candidates can check their mastery of key knowledge points and their ability to flexibly apply learned knowledge to solve problems. At the same time, they can also identify their weak areas to adjust their review methods and strategies in a timely manner.
The entrance examination for part-time master's degree professional degree candidates has very new content and exam formats, and there are few reference materials available for candidates to consult during preparation. In response to this situation, we have compiled this book based on our previously published "Mathematics Preliminary Examination Tutoring Course for Master's Degree Professional Degree Candidates" to help candidates prepare more thoroughly and achieve good results in the exam.
According to the new exam syllabus's requirements for the mathematical content: testing candidates' foundational mathematical knowledge and basic thinking methods, logical reasoning ability, mathematical operation ability, spatial imagination ability, as well as the ability to analyze and solve problems using the mathematical knowledge and methods they have mastered.
Therefore, in the selection of mock exam questions, both the scope of knowledge coverage and the difficulty level are considered to help candidates fully check their mastery of the reviewed content through mock exams. In the design of the mock exam questions, emphasis is placed on key and difficult points while also paying attention to the types and methods of examining these points to assess candidates' mastery of key and difficult areas and their flexible application of this knowledge.
According to the requirements of the exam syllabus, we have compiled 12 sets of mock exam questions in this collection. Each set includes one multiple-choice question, with 5 questions each in the sections of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and elementary calculus and linear algebra. At the end of each mock exam question set, reference answers and detailed explanations are provided for candidates' reference.
