Features: The Calligraphy Dictionary of Wu Changshuo by this book is a classified compilation of the writings of Wu Changshuo, a literati during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. The arrangement of characters follows the principles of the Kangxi Dictionary. For the same character, it is ordered in the sequence of Regular Script, Running Script, Cursive Script, Clerical Script, and Seal Script. Especially for Running Script, works from his youth are mostly placed at the beginning. In terms of selection criteria, complete and clear characters are prioritized. Unclear characters had to be excluded. However, the book features the inclusion of outstanding characters even if they are somewhat unclear, as long as they are deemed necessary. The published rubbing texts are in black and white inversion. Stains and defects in the characters have been appropriately corrected. Most of the included characters have been reduced in size, but the ratios vary. For editorial reasons, no main sources are indicated. To assist readers, a general index of illustrations and a phonetic and semantic index are appended at the end.
