Features: The National English Level Test (PETS) is a national English proficiency examination system designed and administered by the National Education Examination Center. It consists of five levels. Level 1 is the initial level, and Level 5 is the advanced level. This examination has strong substitutability. Levels 2 and 3 have officially replaced the English proficiency exams for non-English majors in higher education diplomas and self-taught examinations for higher education. The results of Level 2 will also be used for university admissions. Levels 2 and 3 can also be used to replace the foreign language additional test scores for secondary vocational and technical school and higher vocational school admissions. To help candidates preparing for the National English Level Test, we have compiled this "PETS Level 3-4 Vocabulary Quick Reference Handbook." This book includes vocabulary lists for PETS Level 3 (approximately 2,000 words) and Level 4 (approximately 1,500 words). Each word is provided with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), part of speech, and Chinese definitions. To facilitate learning for candidates of all levels, the level to which each entry belongs is also marked before the entry. This book is written by experienced PETS instructors, with definitions focused on the key points of past relevant exams. The definitions are concise and accurate. Memorizing these definitions can effectively improve readers' English proficiency, enabling them to confidently pass the PETS exam.
