Chinese-English Business Dictionary

Publishing Date: 2004-05-01
Features: After the manuscript of the Dictionary of Economic and Trade Terms in the Western Han Dynasty was completed and sent for printing, we began preparing to compile its companion volume, the Dictionary of Economic and Trade Terms in Chinese and Spanish. With the care and strong support of the Latin America Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, after nearly three years of effort, this dictionary was finally completed. Just as we were finalizing the last draft of this dictionary, news came that China had joined the WTO. As a member of the World Trade Organization, China's foreign economic and trade exchanges will become even more frequent, and an increasing number of people will engage in foreign trade activities. Trade between our country and Spain, Latin American, and Spanish-speaking African countries will further develop rapidly. Under these circumstances, a new Dictionary of Economic and Trade Terms in Chinese and Spanish is even more necessary. We accelerated our progress and added some new terms to ensure this dictionary could be made available to users as soon as possible. This dictionary collects nearly 70,000 entries, covering fields such as economics, trade, finance, banking, taxation, customs, transportation, accounting, auditing, statistics, insurance, enterprise management, labor relations, and social security. Its publication fills another gap in bilingual Chinese-Spanish dictionaries and provides a practical tool for a wide range of translation professionals both domestically and internationally who are proficient in both languages.
