Features: There are many techniques for painting cats. Since artists differ in their preferences, experiences, personalities, and interests, their creative approaches and techniques also vary. Additionally, the materials used differ, resulting in diverse forms of cat illustrations. With the development of the times, various materials and techniques have become increasingly rich. However, when analyzed comprehensively, they are not overly complex. From a technical perspective, they can be divided into two major categories: fine-line realistic painting and bold-line expressive painting. As for materials, they can be categorized into two types of paper: cooked paper (shu xiyin) and uncooked paper (sheng xiyin), with brushes being either hard-haired or soft-haired. These two methods and materials, as long as handled appropriately during creation and adhering to the principles, can perfectly express the form, spirit, and lively charm of cats. There is no superiority or inferiority between them.
