Chapters 1 to 8 introduce the situation of international cargo insurance; Chapters 9 to 10 cover the content related to ship insurance and ship collision liability; Chapter 11 provides a relatively comprehensive introduction to export credit insurance; and Chapter 12 briefly introduces other foreign-related insurance types. As a branch of property insurance, foreign-related insurance includes two main parts: marine insurance and non-marine insurance. Marine insurance, as a traditional foreign-related insurance business, involves knowledge related to international trade, international cargo transportation, and maritime law. Compared to domestic property insurance, non-marine insurance, which primarily provides protection for overseas investors, has stronger international comparative characteristics, with terms and rates that should be as closely aligned with international standards as possible. These factors give foreign-related insurance its own unique features. During the writing process, these characteristics have been integrated into the content of the textbook. At the same time, when guiding students in their studies, it is also necessary to strengthen research on relevant international laws, conventions, and practices, and to gain a specific understanding of the actual operations of foreign-related insurance business. This will help students better grasp the basic theories and practical knowledge of foreign-related insurance.
