Features: Under the influence of globalization, Chinese urban culture has clearly been deeply marked by globalization. This is reflected in the popularity of consumer culture, fashion, and mass culture from the outside world in Chinese cities, as well as in the influence of foreign ideologies, artistic styles, and other serious cultural aspects on Chinese cities. While Chinese urban culture and urban cultures around the world show a trend of integration, differences are also becoming increasingly prominent. This difference is not only evident in the psychology, customs, behavior, and clothing of urban residents in China and other countries, but also in the ideologies, artistic styles, cultural systems, cultural industries, and mass culture of cities. Of course, it is also imprinted on tangible material cultural forms such as buildings, roads, parks, streetlights, squares, and buses in cities. This book examines the culture and structure of cities as centers of modern cultural production and consumption in China and other countries, with a focus on analyzing, comparing, and discussing the psychology of urban residents in China and other countries, urban mass culture, urban cultural industries, the protection of historical and cultural heritage in cities, and urban architectural culture. This book not only provides readers with rich and valuable urban cultural materials and information, but can also serve as a reference for urban cultural managers, workers, professional researchers, and university teachers and students.
