Features: The Chronicle of Yuanzhen's Journey and his life story are relatively unfamiliar to Chinese researchers, and it is not easy to find relevant materials in China. Therefore, we have compiled this edition for Chinese readers, hoping to attract attention and further improve it after receiving feedback. The existing abridged version of the Chronicle of Yuanzhen's Journey appears to be excerpted arbitrarily based solely on the compiler's needs. There are two main methods of abridgment: one is to delete many entries from the diary, resulting in a disjointed narrative that is inferior to the Biography and Chronology in continuously outlining Yuanzhen's life. The other is to arbitrarily excerpt even within a single day, which becomes evident when comparing it with relevant materials, especially the Biography and Chronology. However, the Chronicle of Yuanzhen's Journey remains Yuanzhen's own work, alongside the Record of Yuanin's Journey to Tang for Seeking Law and the Record of Ascending Heaven Platform and Mount Tai as part of the same series.
