The original International Trade textbook, published in 1983, was widely adopted by domestic higher education institutions and foreign economic and trade professional companies for training business personnel. It has been reprinted eight times. In 1987, it won the Beijing Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award, and in 1989, it received the First Prize for Outstanding Textbooks from the Ministry of Foreign Economic and Trade. Later, the original International Trade textbook was revised and republished as International Trade (Revised Edition) in 1991, with a total of 16 reprints and a circulation of over 600,000 copies. In 1995, it again won the First Prize for Outstanding Textbooks from the Ministry of Foreign Economic and Trade.
With the development of the international economic and trade situation and the discipline of international economic and trade, the writing of this textbook retains the framework of the International Trade (Revised Edition), while supplementing and adding new content, adjusting certain chapter content, strengthening the review of post-war international trade theories, policies, and current conditions, deepening the analysis of international trade in services, and incorporating discussions on the World Trade Organization.
