Features: Zhuge Village is located at the western part of Lanxi in Zhejiang, where it borders three counties. The area is rich in land resources and culturally vibrant, serving as the largest settlement of the descendants of Zhuge Liang, the renowned historical figure. The fusion and conflict between traditional culture and urban culture have left deep or shallow imprints on the nearly 100 exquisite residential buildings in the village, as well as its rustic customs. This study on the rural architecture of Zhuge Village was funded by the Longhu Cultural Foundation in Taiwan. The research was led by Chen Zhihua, Lou Qingxi, and Li Qiuxiang from the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University. In this book, Chen Zhihua is primarily responsible for the overall design of the research, guiding students in surveying, and writing all the text except for the chapter on "Commercial Buildings." Lou Qingxi is mainly responsible for photography and guiding students in surveying, as well as teaching students. Li Qiuxiang, in addition to guiding surveying, wrote the chapter on "Commercial Buildings," took photographs, and redrew several important survey maps and illustrations.
