Features: The elegant and stately Tuanyun Tower, the staggered horse-head walls, and the 700-year-old Xinye Village preserve an ancient and complete village planning. Private academies, schools, academies, and Wenchang Pavilion are scattered throughout the village, serving as tangible evidence of the agricultural-education culture of rural Jiangnan: the villagers have passed down the ideal of "farming can bring wealth, and studying can elevate one's status" from generation to generation. Our ancestors of the Chinese nation, with their wisdom and diligence, used their calloused hands to build house by house and village by village for survival and reproduction. However, these ordinary houses and villages have long been overlooked. In architectural history, palaces, temples, mausoleums, and city walls are given special attention. Yet, it is precisely in these ordinary villages that our ancestors nurtured the entire nation with milk and family affection, giving birth to the culture of the nation.
