Features: The original intention of this book lies in our concern for the severe crises facing humanity. Through a teaching practice activity, it aims to organize future designers who will make a mark in the 21st century to focus on this significant issue from the perspective of modern poster design, broadening their horizons and making them aware of the mission they bear as designers. The graduation design teaching activity under the theme "Embracing the 21st Century—People, Environment, Culture" is also an exploration of educational reform. It elevates the level of graduation design topics, providing students with more creative space and artistic expression. As they come to understand themselves and society, they are encouraged to integrate a focus on human development and progress into their thinking. By treating design as a tool, they fulfill the noble historical mission of the 21st-century designer: to eliminate the ugliness and ignorance in the human world and uphold human rights and moral standards.
The book includes over 60 designs by world-renowned designers, while the remaining 70+ works are from the undergraduate and graduate students of our department, primarily selected as outstanding pieces from the graduation designs of the 1995 Advertising Design program. Many of these works are truly impressive. Compared to the works of masters, the students' creations naturally appear more naive and weak, but they are not without their own brilliance. They exude a fresh and vibrant energy, with unique creative approaches and innovative artistic expressions that offer a distinctive visual experience, making them worth recommending for everyone to appreciate and reflect upon. Let them inspire a shared voice: Save the Earth, Save Humanity!
As an exploration, it is natural that imperfections exist. We look forward to your review and judgment.
