Features: This book elaborates on the individuality of design, the cultural connotations of commercial posters; inspiration from nature, fleeting images, and implications; new starting points for modern poster design, and the diversification of modern poster design. The purpose of the "New Perspectives" Design Series is to capture the subtle changes of these new developments from different "perspectives," against the backdrop of societal transformation, and from the cultural aspects that directly influence design trends. "New" is our criterion; "New" refers to new concepts, new thinking, and new ideas. For each "perspective," we do not aim for grandeur or comprehensiveness; instead, we strive for precision, depth, and thoroughness, which is no easy task and requires continuous effort. We may not be able to depict a clear picture for readers at every level, but we hope to outline a general framework, provide a line of thought, showcase a new mental space, leave some inspiration, and spark a bit of creativity. That would already achieve the original intention of the "New Perspectives in Design" Series. We hope to do so and do even better.
This book elaborates on the individuality of design, the cultural connotations of commercial posters; inspiration from nature, fleeting images, and implications; new starting points for modern poster design, and the diversification of modern poster design. The pursuit of depth at the theoretical level is a key focus of the series, as is the presentation of appropriate examples of outstanding design successes from around the world. The goal is to use vivid and intuitive imagery to substantiate the arguments presented in the book, while also showcasing the characteristics of specific historical periods and emerging creative expressions, providing readers with a direct visual experience and leaving them with space for reflection and contemplation.
