External treatment methods are an important part of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and originate from folk traditions, with a history of over 2,000 years. Medical practice has proven that external treatment methods are not only simple to learn, easy to use, and have low medication costs, but also have (verified) efficacy, minimal side effects, and offer the advantages of being simple, convenient, inexpensive, effective, and fast. Therefore, the general public enjoys using them and they are worth further exploration, organization, and popularization. China has numerous famous ancient and modern physicians, and there is a wealth of medical classics, case studies, medical discussions, and empirical prescriptions on external treatment methods, but they are currently scattered and disorganized. To better promote and apply TCM external treatment methods, we have combined clinical practices to collect, process, and organize relevant materials, compiling them into this book. The content of this book includes three parts: Introduction, Detailed Sections, and (Typical Cases). The Introduction briefly introduces the theoretical basis, application principles, and treatment methods of external treatment methods. The Detailed Sections cover approximately 100 diseases and conditions in various clinical disciplines, along with over 1,000 empirical prescriptions.
