Features: The features of this dictionary are: 1. This dictionary can be used by primary and secondary school Chinese teachers, liberal arts students in colleges and universities, and Chinese enthusiasts with a secondary education level, as well as language workers for reference. 2. This dictionary mainly includes common adjectives and also appropriately includes a certain number of adjectives with high usage frequency but difficult to master, totaling 2,268 entries. 3. The order of entries is arranged in phonetic sequence. For homophones with single syllables, the order is determined by the number of strokes; compound words formed from the same root word are arranged by the phonetic sequence of the second character. 4. The content of each entry generally includes word form, phonetic annotation, definition, usage scope or collocations, typical examples, compound forms, and reduplicated patterns. 5. For adjectives with two or more writing forms, the commonly used form is used as the headword, with alternative forms noted in parentheses. 6. This dictionary uses Pinyin for phonetic annotation. 7. The definitions are primarily based on the Modern Chinese Dictionary, with some reference to the Applied Chinese Dictionary and the Standard Chinese Dictionary for Middle School Students, among others. This is done to promote the standardization of word meaning explanations, facilitate reader use, and support school teaching. 8. This dictionary selects example sentences rather than phrases or other linguistic fragments, considering the readers' psychological acceptance and the practical value of the dictionary. The principles for selecting example sentences include: helping to explain the meaning of the word, helping to illustrate usage; providing examples of well-chosen words from famous works or award-winning pieces for readers to appreciate. 9. Each entry is accompanied by a certain number of example sentences. In terms of distribution, those serving as predicates and attributive modifiers are more common, while others are less so. For the sources of example sentences, two methods are adopted: annotation and non-annotation. Annotated sources are used either to indicate the linguistic context and help readers accurately understand the sentence meaning or to enhance reliability and persuasiveness. Non-annotated sources include the following three cases: the example sentences are selected from famous works and the sources are omitted to save space; the example sentences are based on famous phrases, with appropriate simplification or adaptation.
