Features: With the rapid development of electronic technology, communication technology, and computer technology, various testing technologies have also advanced rapidly. Test processes under computer control have become more efficient, concise, and flexible. This system, which measures electrical and non-electrical quantities, processes data, controls equipment, and outputs results under computer control, is known as an automatic test system. The technology employed is called computer-aided testing technology (abbreviated as CAT). This book primarily introduces the relevant content that constitutes an automatic test system, which consists of two main parts. The first part mainly includes the analysis of the General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB), the design of instrument general bus interfaces, and then explains how to use instruments equipped with GPIB to construct an automatic test system. The second part focuses on the control and testing of analog circuits by computers, taking the analog integrated circuit test system TM7 as an example. It primarily discusses the hardware architecture of automatic test systems, the interfaces and control of test instruments, advanced test languages for test instruments, adapter principles, and the software design of test systems. The book also provides a brief introduction to the USB bus and VXI technology. The content of this book is novel and highly practical, making it suitable as an elective course for senior undergraduate students or a graduate textbook in related fields such as computer hardware, testing and instrumentation, and electronic information engineering. It can also serve as a reference for engineering technicians in related fields.
