Features: This book aims to reveal the most beautiful and historically profound aspects of "Water Town Jiangsu" to tourists, allowing them to trace the veins of the Jiangnan water towns and explore picturesque landscapes filled with cultural connotations and human stories, while experiencing the spiritual realm bestowed by the majestic mountains and serene waters of the region. The Jiangnan here refers to the southern part of Jiangsu, including areas south of the Yangtze River and nearby regions along the northern bank of the Yangtze, such as Yangzhou, Nantong, and Taizhou. This approach enables a broader understanding of the essence of water town attractions in Jiangsu. Under the category of "Jiangnan Water Towns," we divide them into "Riverside of the Yangtze," "Taihu Basin," and "Lixiahe Region." Yangzhou can be placed in either "Riverside of the Yangtze" or "Lixiahe Region." Considering the pivotal role of the ancient city of Yangzhou in the entire Lixiahe Region, it is more appropriate to include it in the latter category. Jiangnan water towns are timeless poems, lingering and poignant; they are endless scrolls, graceful and varied. In people's minds, Jiangnan water towns are personified—a perfect blend of natural landscapes and human emotions. Strolling through Jiangnan water towns, savoring the local customs and folk culture, is a dreamlike, delightful, and soul-nourishing journey—a cultural cleansing of the heart.
