Features: In modern home design, the division of functional areas is a crucial part, directly impacting the quality of daily life. This living space has a long living room (6.5 meters × 3.6 meters) with a small area, numerous doors, and a rather disorganized layout. Setting up a dining area and living room in this space was challenging. Therefore, the designer first established the spatial proportion between the two areas and carefully selected materials to design a dual-purpose partition (background wall and divider wall). This solution addressed the practical issues while also creating a scenic feature in the room: most of the wall is made of highly transparent glass, allowing sunlight from the right window to directly enter the dining area without affecting its lighting. A wooden TV cabinet adds warmth to the room, while a few steel pipes paired with it create a very minimalist and modern look, harmonizing with the overall style of the space. The wall on the left is designed with light-colored wood grain, locally complemented by lightweight transparent glass and highly modern metal materials, creating a strong sense of texture and a modern, fashionable aesthetic. Considering air circulation in the room, the TV background wall is only 1.8 meters wide, with 0.9-meter walkways on both sides, ensuring the owner’s convenience in movement. Through these designs, the entire room is elegant, functional, and the owner is highly satisfied.
