The novel unfolds against this backdrop, with the prophecy of the end of the world causing panic in the town, and the prophecy of the destined person leaving Xiaowen bewildered. Especially the outstanding senior sister Xin, who makes her both admire and feel inferior to herself. Later, she meets Xia Qing, Xin's boyfriend, and inexplicably falls in love with him.
