Human anatomy and physiology

Features: Considering the convenience of teaching, in addition to the introduction, this textbook arranges the content of human anatomy and physiology into two parts, with each part organized in chapters. The content of histology is divided into a separate chapter for basic tissues, while the remaining content is integrated into the chapters of human anatomy. The morphological and structural content in physiology generally does not repeat the human anatomy section. To assist students in learning and reviewing, each chapter includes professional English vocabulary and review questions. The total number of professional English vocabulary is approximately 700, with the quantity in each chapter determined by the proportion of the chapter's word count to the total text of the entire book. The review questions basically cover the key content of this textbook. This book, "Human Anatomy and Physiology," is part of the series of basic course textbooks for higher vocational medical education. In line with the goal of cultivating high-level applied medical and health professionals in medical vocational education, we have broken through the boundaries of traditional disciplines and appropriately reorganized the curriculum. This textbook includes the content of human anatomy and physiology, with human anatomy encompassing the knowledge of anatomy and histology. At the same time, we have fully emphasized the overall optimization of this series of textbooks, strengthening communication with the compilers of other courses (such as biochemistry, immunology, etc.) to minimize unnecessary repetition and avoid omissions in important content. Additionally, we adhere to the principle that fundamental theory serves application, focusing on essential morphological structures and physiological phenomena while prioritizing clinical relevance, with less emphasis on exploring mechanisms. This textbook is targeted at the college level. Of course, we also place great importance on highlighting the "Three Basics" (basic theory, basic knowledge, basic skills), "Five Qualities" (ideological, scientific, advanced, inspirational, applicable), and "Three Transformations" (overall textbook optimization, standardized and standardized writing) in the content. During the compilation of this textbook, we referred to a large number of domestic and international human anatomy and physiology textbooks and other related books, with domestic references primarily being the new editions of the national planned textbooks for medical vocational and undergraduate education.
