Features: Science knows no borders. From the perspective of management science, there is no such thing as Chinese-style management, nor American-style or Japanese-style management. Everyone is the same; in different regions, the same management science is applied. Using Chinese management philosophy to properly apply modern management science is what we consider true Chinese-style management, with only one purpose—making it effective. The 21st century is the era where Chinese management philosophy combines with Western management science to flourish. Both are essential; lacking either will lead to stumbling and difficulty in progress.
The foundation of CEO studies lies in the classic of the Chinese nation, the I Ching. Based on the "Three Powers of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity," the CEO should act as Heaven's agent, upholding "Heaven's Way" to understand people and utilize things. The I Ching is a book of "change," telling us how to respond appropriately to a future full of uncertainties. The more stable the world, the less need there is to study the principles of change, and the less attention the I Ching receives. The more volatile the world, the greater the need to grasp future trends. Thus, the principles of the I Ching attract more and more attention.
The 21st century is an era of rapid change. By following the I Ching's Three Powers of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity, CEOs can truly align with Heaven and humanity, inevitably progressing with the trend and remaining invincible. For CEOs, both pioneering and maintaining success are equally important. Whether starting a business or maintaining it, the best outcome is to remain invincible. CEOs advocating "turning defeat into victory" are essentially going against themselves. The Chinese value "remaining invincible," which is the true great principle.
