Concise English-Chinese Dictionary of Communication Studies

Features: In terms of translation, if a term is already in use in Chinese, this dictionary strives to adopt it. For others, the compilers translate them independently. During the translation process, it was found that some terms are relatively easy to handle, while others require adaptive measures. For example, some terms are translated with a focus on clarity rather than elegance, such as the commonly used word "advance" in the context of communication. The compilation of this dictionary primarily relies on the terminology and common expressions of research subjects within the six major fields of communication studies as defined in Appendix II, supplemented by references to communication-related academic journals and published English and Chinese dictionaries. In Chinese, although dictionaries for journalism and mass communication have already been published, as these fields are closely related to communication studies, this dictionary also includes terms relevant to them.
