Features: In 1983, we compiled the textbook "Modern Instrumental Analysis," published by Tsinghua University Press. The book was well-received by a broad readership and highly praised. In 1986, the Ministry of Education issued the teaching for instrumental analysis in science and engineering majors. Based on the content of the, we revised and compiled the book "Instrumental Analysis" in 1991. Ten years later, during the following decade, the field of instrumental analysis underwent significant changes. Many instruments became widely available, new instruments emerged, and the application fields of instruments expanded greatly. This book is a revised and newly compiled version based on the "Instrumental Analysis" published by Tsinghua University Press in 1991. It is divided into 10 chapters, covering electrochemical analysis, atomic emission spectroscopy, atomic absorption spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible absorption spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, and other instrumental analysis methods. As introductions to other analysis methods, the book includes X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, electron energy spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, and laser Raman spectroscopy. The book provides a relatively detailed introduction to the basic principles, instrument structures, experimental methods, techniques, and practical applications of these various instrumental analysis methods. After expert review, the book has been listed as a Beijing Excellent Teaching Material. It can be used as a teaching and reference book for relevant majors in colleges and universities, as well as a reference for professionals and analytical workers in related fields.
