Features: In 1983, we compiled the textbook "Modern Instrumental Analysis," published by Tsinghua University Press. The book was well-received by a broad readership after its release. In 1986, the Ministry of Education issued the teaching syllabus for instrumental analysis in science and engineering programs. Based on the syllabus, we revised and compiled the book "Instrumental Analysis" in 1991. Ten years later, during that decade, the field of instrumental analysis underwent significant changes, with many instruments becoming widely used, new instruments emerging, and the application areas of instruments expanding greatly. This book is a revised and newly compiled version based on the "Instrumental Analysis" published by Tsinghua University Press in 1991. The book is divided into 10 chapters, including electrochemical analysis, atomic emission spectrometry, atomic absorption spectrometry, ultraviolet-visible absorption spectrometry, infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, and other instrumental analysis methods. As introductions to other analysis methods, the book covers X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, electron energy spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, and laser Raman spectroscopy. The book provides a relatively detailed introduction to the basic principles, instrument structures, experimental methods, techniques, and practical applications of the aforementioned instrumental analysis methods. After expert review, the book has been listed as a fine teaching material in Beijing. This book can be used as a teaching and reference book for relevant majors in colleges and universities, as well as a reference for professionals and analytical workers in related fields.
