The book is written by experts, professors, and experienced teachers from the Department of Pathology and Anatomy of Capital Medical University, who have many years of experience in pathology teaching and clinical pathology work. During the writing process, attention was paid to fully utilizing the distinctive roles of various clinical hospitals (Tongren Hospital, Xuanwu Hospital, and Friendship Hospital in Beijing), with a focus on severe and common diseases that affect the health of the Chinese people. The book provides a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the etiology, pathogenesis, pathological changes, clinicopathological correlations, and prognosis of these diseases. To ensure the practicality of the textbook, the content was determined and the teaching syllabus was developed through extensive discussions between students and clinical doctors. The preliminary draft was reviewed and evaluated by pathology experts and professors both inside and outside the university, who provided comments and suggestions. The authors revised the manuscript according to the feedback and finalized it.
