Features: Ma Xiguang was born in Linyiu County, Shanxi Province in 1932. He graduated from Northwest People's Art College in 1953 and worked in Qinghai in 1958. Currently, he is a member of the China Artists Association, vice chairman of the Qinghai Artists Association, and consultant of Xining Art Institute. His works have been exhibited both domestically and internationally and have won numerous awards. Many of his works are collected by institutions such as the National Art Museum of China and other domestic and foreign organizations. Newspapers and magazines such as Art, Spring Blossoms, Books and Paintings, Hong Kong's Bai Yan Evening News, and Wen Bao have all featured special introductions on his work. He has written works such as Random Talks on Freehand Figure Painting and Techniques of Ink Wash Figure Painting. He has published A Collection of Ma Xiguang's Works. He has held solo exhibitions in places like Singapore, Hong Kong, and Guangzhou. Representative works include Dawn over the Gobi, Winding Mountain Path, and Dance of the Plateau. His works draw inspiration from the self-taught achievements of people from various ethnic groups in Northwest China, embodying the spirit of the new era with scenes of oases, grasslands, and Gobi deserts.
