This book includes exercises that are partially the same as the previous volume (e.g., content-based questions, exercises on vocabulary, word formation, rhetorical devices, etc.), aiming to review and reinforce previously learned knowledge. Additionally, new sections have been added, such as annotations, analysis of text writing techniques, and writing exercises. The purpose of these exercises is: First, to enhance students' independent working abilities, guiding them to learn how to consult reference materials and encourage them to write annotations and take notes by themselves. Second, to improve students' ability to analyze and appreciate writing techniques. A reference list is provided at the end of the book, recommending some commonly used dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other reference materials.
