Publish Date: 2004-08-01
Features: China is a large developing country and, in the process of fully transitioning to a market economy and modernization, needs innovation. In a sense, there is nothing more strategically significant than innovation; at the same time, all successful strategies must and should be innovative strategies. In summary, innovation must and inevitably carries strategic significance, while strategy must and inevitably carries innovative significance. Therefore, this book explores the issue of China's economic development strategy from this relationship and in a broader sense. This book is a collection of papers from the Fourth Academic Symposium of the Economic Strategy Committee of the China Society for Development Strategy Research, held in December 2003. This book has the following characteristics:
(1) The themes discussed in this book are diverse, covering both macroeconomic strategy issues, as well as regional economic strategy issues, industrial economic strategy issues, and corporate economic strategy issues.
(2) The content elaborated in this book are hot and cutting-edge issues in real strategic decision-making, but it is not based on academic-style logical deduction, nor does it blindly adopt overseas "high theories."
(3) The authors of this book are mostly teaching and research personnel from scientific research institutions and universities. Some are seasoned scholars with white hair, while others are young students pursuing doctoral degrees. Therefore, the writing styles of the articles in this book cannot be standardized. Additionally, although the book covers a wide range of content, issues such as the information economy, which have attracted significant social attention, and social security issues are discussed less.
