Publish Date: 2002-08-01
Features: This book is primarily designed as a foundational textbook for the "Electrical Engineering and Automation" or "Electrical Engineering and Automation" major, and is also suitable as a reference for electrical engineering technicians and engineers. It was developed to meet the requirements of the "General Catalogue of Engineering Majors and Guiding Catalogue of Engineering Majors" issued by the Ministry of Education of China in 1998 for the "Electrical Engineering and Automation" and "Electrical Engineering and Automation" majors. The content includes six parts: Introduction and Basic Concepts, Theories and Models of Power Equipment, Network Analysis and Operation Control, Transient Analysis and Control, Power System Insulation and Overvoltage, and Computer Monitoring and New Technologies in Power Transmission Systems, totaling 22 chapters. The book is divided into two volumes: Volume 1 includes chapters 1 to 11, and Volume 2 includes chapters 12 to 22. This textbook organically integrates and updates the content of the original textbooks for courses such as "Steady-State Analysis of Power Systems," "Electrical Engineering of Power Plants and Computer Monitoring," "Power Engineering," and "High Voltage Technology." It adds new chapters on pumped storage, voltage stability, high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission, and flexible alternating current transmission (FACTS), reflecting the overall integrity, comprehensiveness, and trend of technological development in the power industry. The book is innovative in its design and progresses in a logical and systematic manner.
