Features: This book is available for geologists, stratigraphers, paleontologists, petroleum exploration workers, and professionals in geological and paleontological research institutions and universities. It summarizes the research on Triassic and Jurassic palynology in the Kuqa Depression of the Tarim Basin in Xinjiang. The book describes 89 genera and 194 species of palynoflora. Based on this, palynofloral assemblage sequences for the Triassic and Jurassic periods were established, and the geological ages were discussed in detail. According to the existing palynological data, it supports the argument that the Triassic and Jurassic palynofloras in China can be divided into two distinct palynogeographical subregions: northern and southern. It further confirms that the boundary between the Triassic and Jurassic systems in the Kuqa Depression lies between the Taritiek Group and the Ahe Group, and explores the boundary between the Permian and Triassic systems. Based on the plant assemblages reflected by the palynofloral combinations, it discusses the paleovegetation and paleoclimate during the Triassic and Jurassic periods. According to the occurrence of marine acritarchs in the lower Triassic Ehoobulake Formation, it indicates that the Tarim Basin was once influenced by seawater during the Early Triassic. The book includes 40 plates at the end and an English abstract.
