Features: This book is a preliminary summary report on the joint survey of ancient sites in Yin River, Banzhijian River, and the lower reaches of Xibo River in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, by China and the United States. The survey covered an area of over 700 square kilometers and discovered more than 1,000 ancient sites. This survey employed new technological methods such as GPS positioning, total station measurements, and geographic information system mapping, as well as the American archaeological survey methods for sites and settlements. This will provide new insights into archaeological research in the Chifeng region from a macro perspective.
